I'm impressed that this one scanned so well It's a 4x6" pencil crayon and chalk pastel drawing. I bought some new General's chalk pastel pencils and just had to try them out
I sketched this horse at work a long time ago, I was going to use it for an Illustration Friday where the topic was "Wind", but I just ran out of time (as usual!).
I love the cool colors of the background, they really make the horse stand out. I had a book about Appaloosas once, it was all fictional but it was pretty cool. Great picture; I'm glad you do traditional art, I think it has a warmer quality than digital (IMO anyways).
Thanks shiroi-ryu I wish it was easy to scan traditional artwork. Sometimes the scanner eats all the warmth. There aren't too many books about Appaloosas out there...lol, I think I have read every book about horses out there

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
