As if the world needs another picture of a unicorn I worked on this picture this weekend while watching nature shows on TV. It is 8.5x12" and five different shades of acid free paper. Originally it was going to be all purple, but I added blue for variety. I think the colour scheme worked out well. I will upload the sketch for it later. This picture is the reverse of the sketch, as I couldn't draw backwards
My world always has plenty of room for more unicorn picures!
This is very beautiful. I love how even just using silhouettes, you portray a definite sense of place, and a definite sense of peace. You've created the illsion of three dimension depth with just two dimensional layers. Very well done.
Thank you for sharing!

I can really tell that you put a lot of effort into making this seemingly simple piece because of all the fine details in it. I am especially impressed with the trees and blades of grass. I would never have that kind of patience!

If reality can change dreams, why can't dreams change reality?
Thanks Dreamesque I have to admit, the hardest part was cutting the grass. I have little bits of paper all over the living room floor. I have a tiny pair of scissors that I used for that. It's so easy to cut off something by accident too! I think all in all it didn't take very long - I did the background on Sunday, and finished the unicorn on Monday.
LOL! Mine does too Some of my friends know that I had an art teacher last year who compared a series of white horses I did with unicorns, and horses with My Little Ponies too :-D It was a tad frustrating.
There are paper artists who do such amazing things...hopefully I can progress to more 3D things. Some of it is impatience on my part Thanks for faving!
